Electromagnetic compatibility testing in EMC lab EN 55024, CISPR 24
EN 55024:2010 Information technology equipment– Immunity characteristics– Limits and methods of measurement (CISPR 24:2010)
Scope
International standard EN 55024:2010 is applicable to information technology equipment (ITE). Standard EN 55024:2010 defines information technology equipment as any equipment or device that operates with a rated supply voltage not exceeding 600V, has a main function of entry, storage, display, retrieval, transmission, processing, switching, or control of data and equipment that could be used in combination with one or more terminal ports with the main function– information transfer. Equipment or device, with a main function of radio transmission or reception are not covered by standard EN 55024:2010.
Classification
International standard EN 55024:2010 have no specific overall classification of equipment.
Examples
PC, telecommunication equipment, office machines, data processing equipment, ITE accessories, portable battery supplied devices.

Performance criteria
Criterion A
During and after the testing the EUT shall continue to operate as intended without operator intervention. No degradation of performance or loss of function is allowed below a minimum performance level specified by the manufacturer when the EUT is used as intended.
Criterion B
During the testing, degradation of performance is allowed, but no change of operating state or stored data is allowed to persist after the test. After the testing, the EUT shall operate as intended without operator intervention and without degradation. No degradation of performance or loss of function is allowed, after the application of the phenomena below a performance level specified by the manufacturer, when the EUT is used as intended.
Criterion C
During and after testing, a temporary loss of function is allowed, but functions shall be self-recoverable, or can be restored by the operation of the controls and/or turning off /on the power of the EUT, following the manufacturer instructions.
